I spent a lot of time earlier this year researching height charts. I wanted one that looked good and (with future remodeling in mind) one that could be easily taken down and put up again. I also knew what I didn’t want – one that stuck out from the wall, was made of fabric, or looked, well, tacky.
After lots of on-line searching I discovered Djeco, a French company that makes adhesive wall height charts. Well designed and beautifully illustrated, Djeco makes four charts: Friends From Amazon (pictured above), Animals, Princess Margueritte, and Fantastic Knight. My favorite part about these charts – the stickers are removable and can be reapplied, so no worrying about removing them to paint the wall or leaving your homemade chart behind when you move.
I ordered Friends From Amazon which included 31 separate stickers. Half the fun was deciding where we would put the stickers on the wall. Now, Oliver goes up to the height chart to point out a bird or other animal, and I constantly get compliments on our beautiful height chart. The only drawback to the particular chart we chose is that it only came with six stickers to chart your child’s growth in, and I plan on recording his progress yearly and for more than six years.
