Our glider-of-choice was the Rita Glider and Ottoman, available only at Costco on-line. We basically selected this glider based on price – it seemed to be the most reasonable in regards to value for your money. Most of the features were comparable to other gliders on the market, but retailing at $299, the Rita Glider was priced anywhere from $50 to $300 less.
The chair is constructed of round-edged hardwood that has been treated with a toxic-free finish, so you know it’s safe to have in your baby’s room. And it is available in multiple colors, so you are sure to find one that matches your nursery decor. My favorite feature is the padded arms – a necessity for when your tired new-mommy arms need a bit of a rest. The only negative aspect is that the chair and ottoman arrive flat-packed, so it does require assembly. But not to worry, the assembly is quite simple (even for a very-tired very-pregnant lady!).
And if you’re a mommy-to-be, it is HIGHLY recommended to purchase a glider chair in advance of your third trimester. It will bring well deserved comfort and relief to your tired, swollen, and achy body. Happy gliding!
