When my son was born, I had to both breastfeed and bottle feed him. I hated the expense of formula and all the hardware and hassle that comes with bottle feeding, not to mention the endless boiling of bottles, nipples, etc. when I had much better things to do (like the laundry for example). To dry all the bottles and their parts after boiling them, I used my entire kitchen counter top – mountains of bottles, caps, and nipples stacked on top of a dish towel taking up all my counter space. The end result, of course, was that nothing ever really got dry.
I saw Skip*Hop’s Splash bottle drying rack at a children’s store the other day and I wondered … why hadn’t I seen this brilliant, modern, art-like piece of equipment before? And if anyone thinks I’m using dish towels to dry bottles for baby number two due this fall, think again!
Splash is a bottle drying rack made of BPA-free, Phthalate-free, and PVC-free plastic that holds up to nine bottles (glass and/or plastic). A drip tray collects excess water on the bottom of the rack for easy disposal, and the Splash also includes a bottle brush that fits neatly into the middle of the rack. My two favourite features – its circular design saves counter space and it’s dishwasher safe!
The Splash is available on-line from the Skip*Hop website, or at your local children’s store for about $28 USD.
Now if these bottles could only boil themselves …

Oh, that is great! Wish I had one, too!
