Yes To Noonoo

One of the nicest gifts we received for our daughter Charlotte when she was born was the organic/cotton Noonoo Design sheep rattle (pictured above).  It became a staple in our daughter’s Bugaboo bassinet, and she loves looking at the contrasting black and white shades and giving it a shake now and again.  Along with the sheep rattle, we also received a beautiful Noonoo counting sheep comforter, which is made of felted lambswool and embroidered with the cutest little sheepies (and sheep poo – ha!).  Its circular shape and tactile surface along with the one little sheep on a string make it unique, and we use it all the time under Charlotte’s head whenever she is laying down (it does a great job of containing the drool/spit up, and washes really nicely in the gentle cycle of my washing machine).  I absolutely LOVE the products this company makes because they feel really natural and clean, and they are the most unique and beautiful baby toys I’ve seen in a long time.

Noonoo Design is a small, family-run British company that prides itself on “the ethical manufacture of ecologically sustainable and ‘clean’ textiles”, and all of their products are beautifully handmade.  Noonoo uses only unbleached and organic cotton in its products, as well as bamboo, lambswool, and a variety of other Eco-friendly materials.  The company is extremely proud of its new, independently run factory in Vietnam where Noonoo not only pays their workers fairly, they also employ a full-time housekeeper/cook to provide the staff with fresh meals for their one-hour lunch break each day.

Besides rattles and comforters, Noonoo has a great selection of other unique and Eco-friendly products from bibs to sock monkeys to greeting cards.  Look for Noonoo products at these fine retailers or shop on-line through the Noonoo website.  Because Noonoo Design has such a large range of fabulous products, you’ll be sure to find one to fit your budget for that special little one in your life.
