Bugalug Baby And A Great Discount!

I have to admit that I love finding accessories for Little Miss as much as I love finding them for myself. This past Christmas, Grandma gave Little Miss some adorable Bugalug hair clips which we absolutely love (she was born with a fair bit of hair which has grown in very unevenly, leaving her with two Hasidic-like curls on either side of her face and a rat-tail!). Not only do the clips amazingly stay in place, but they are also the perfect way to let the world know your child really is a girl (except for that one guy who, despite the Bugalug hair clip, a pink dress and girly shoes, STILL thought Little Miss was a boy – but there’s obviously no hope for him).

Bugalug clips stay in place with the help of a unique silicon strip, and they let your little girl show her girlie side through fantastic patterns and styles. But my favourite part about these fabulous clips is that they are made without the use of glue (they use a special adhesive made just for Bugalug), which means they can, and may have already in my house, withstand the washer and the dryer.

I was thrilled when Bugalug sent me some other items in their line to try – the headband, belt, and pony loops. I love the headbands – they have an easy adjustment toggle to change the size (which means they can also be used by Mama!), and the toggle ensures that they stay snug. Little Miss did pull hers off a couple of times, but she’s not a big fan of things on her head – I would suggest these for toddlers and beyond. Little Miss didn’t have enough hair to try out the pony loops, but I gave them to a friend and she loved them. They stayed put without any problems (even in fine hair), and they were easy to get the cute “button” part to stay at the top of the ponytail where they looks cutest.

My favourite new item was the CINCH belt, though. These belts are elasticated, so while they are fab at keeping little pants up, they also stretch enough so that pants can be pulled on and off with ease. It was helpful for diaper changes, but I imagine it would be über important for potty training. They come in three sizes (zero – 12 months, 12 months – 3T, 3T – 6 years) and in different styles for girls and boys (I love the boy’s “caution” belt!).

Bugalug’s prices range from $3.50 for pony loops, $4.00 for barrettes, $8.00 for headbands, and $18 for belts, while soother clips are available for $10.00 (all in Canadian dollars).

All about: Emily:
Emily is very proud to be one of the Spilt Milk Moms ‘founding mothers’ as well as being Mama to “Little Miss” (who was born in August 2009) and Wifelet to her Husbando. She spent seven years living in London which helped her to develop a keen eye for amazing products from around the world. As an actress and producer, Emily ensured her place in hell with over 3 years in children’s advertising (her job was “to create want where there is no need!”) but looks to undo the damage by finding the best things around for mamas and little ones. Emily is always ready with fresh baking, a silly song, or a glass of chardonnay and is renowned for always being overdressed and having a killer collection of heels that she’s not afraid to wear (even whilst babywearing!).
