Boon - Modern Flo for Your Life

Ever since our children, aged three years and 10 months, have been bathing together, I’ve been waiting for the moment where one of them slips and seriously injures his or her head on the faucet.  It’s made bath time stressful instead of fun lately, and so I was very excited when Boon agreed to send me a blue Flo (like the one pictured above) to put to the test.

There are several faucet covers available on the market, but Boon‘s clever Flo Water Deflector and Protective Faucet Cover is not only sleekly modern, but also multi- functional.  Unlike other faucet covers that look cute and do the job safety-wise, the Flo also doubles as a bubble bath dispenser!  But let me back up for a moment ….  The Flo arrived complete with User Guide, and for a moment I wondered if I’d need an engineering degree to install it in the ‘kid’ bathroom.  Not so much – in fact, it couldn’t have been easy to place over the faucet.  The Flo functions exactly like a clothes pin – you just squeeze the top and bottom of the front together and slip it over the faucet.  Check.  Next, I flipped the lid near the top to fill it with bubble bath.  Easy.  And that was it for ‘installation’.  Next up, and probably more difficult, bath time.

Oliver, my three year old, loves to play in the bathtub (especially with his Boon Bath Goods set).  He was thrilled to be allowed to release the bubbles from the Flo while the water ran into to tub with him in it (all he had to do was push the little blue button on the front of it).  What he doesn’t enjoy while bathing is getting his hair wet.  Until I convinced him that his new bath toy came complete with ‘waterfall’ (the water deflector part).  I showed him the picture of the little girl on the Flo’s box letting the ‘waterfall’ run through her hair to get it clean, and wouldn’t you know it?  He was hooked.  What a great first step to getting him to let us put his head under the shower stream!

Boon’s Flo is a sleek, modern, interactive bath toy that keeps the kids safe while bathing.  The soft plastic it’s made out of have made me stop worrying that someone will sustain a serious head injury in the bathtub under my supervision, and I’m not sure what my kids find more entertaining – the ‘waterfall’ or the bubble dispenser.  And just in case someone needs to use your ‘kid’ tub for a shower, the Flo also provides for easy access to the shower diverter.

The Flo Water Deflector and Protective Faucet Cover is available through Boon‘s website for $14.99 USD in blue, green, or pink, as well as at these online and local retailers.
