Our love for Bobs & Lolo certainly has not faded since posting about their Musical Adventures CD. And now that their videos keep popping up on Treehouse TV, S’s requests to listen to their music has only increased. In fact, now she calls from the back seat of the minivan, “Loud! Loud, Mama, loud!” Luckily, her hunger for their catchy tunes and her need to be active indoors (thanks to buckets and buckets of rain!) can both be satisfied by the new Bobs & Lolo DVD. Loaded with fun and lively music videos S happily sings and dances around the living room every time we pop in the DVD. [...]
Hopefully you have already read me raving about the I See Me personalized books back in September. I love them because they are a fun way for your child to learn their letters and how to spell their name. Full of great illustrations and a story that has your child at the centre of it all, [...]
Ever since finding out I was pregnant with my second child I spent a lot of time wondering how I am going to do everyday things like walk the dog, go to the store, etc. with a new baby and a toddler. I have decided that the answer is that this kid is going to be strapped to me most of my waking hours. And the Beco Baby Carrier is how I’ll make that happen. [...]

I fell in love with this little octopus the first time I laid eyes on it. Seriously, an octopus, knit in Kenya, wearing a toque and scarf…Someone has a sense of humour! But he is too cute to resist. This little creature belongs to a line of equally adorable knit animals by Kenana Knitters. [...]
I once read There is no bad weather, just inappropriate clothing.” I think this is brilliant, and particularly poignant if you have young children who don’t appreciate being cooped up through the rainy/snowy season. To make sure you have the aforementioned clothing, you must check out Puddlegear. This stuff will keep your kids warm, dry, and comfortable which means they will be active and happy! [...]
When the Spilt Moms were handed a Daisy Chain Yogi Maternity Belly Band, I was one of the lucky ones to try it out. Emily and Trea were about ready to pop, but I was just reaching the middle of my pregnancy. Now that I am almost halfway through the seventh month, I have gotten plenty of use out of the Belly Band. [...]
I know my daughter is fairly well advanced in most areas. No, she’s not the genius her grandparents think she is, but I like to think my husband and I have done a good job of keeping her development on track…except for one department. We have been really resistant to let her feed herself with utensils. We like to blame it on the dog – one look at those puppy-dog eyes and she tosses her food right to him. But really, I know deep down we just don’t like to deal with the mess. So now that she is almost two, I think we need to let her at it. That is why I’m loving My Plate-Mate. [...]
I first laid eyes on Messed Up Bibs at a local baby fair, and I was immediately in love with the gorgeous birdcage fabric (pictured above). I didn’t even know what this product did, but I knew it would look beautiful on my little girl. So, of course, I had to stop and chat with the women running the booth. To my delight, the women I was speaking to were the creators of this fabulous bib, which is designed and made locally by who else but a couple of moms! [...]
Everyone is talking about money these days, so why not start that conversation with your kids? Or, better yet, start teaching them about money and how to manage their “income”. The Moonjar Moneybox is a fantastic tool that allows your children to put into practice the money management skills you are trying to teach them. (And let’s face it, some of us could us a little refresher course on this stuff ourselves!) [...]
Congrats to Claudia and Janet, the winners of our Chic to Cheek Diaper Clutch giveaway!

Cici Art Factory is the result of a lot of hard work and creativity by mom and artist Liz Clay. Finding inspiration from her children, she is able to offer unique and imaginative paintings for any child’s bedroom or playroom. She has many different styles for you to choose from: wit & whimsy, portraits, lotsa, and [...]
This diaper clutch has been designed with cloth diapers in mind. Since there is a waterproof liner, it’s perfect for storing used diapers ensuring they make it home safely without soiling the rest of your diaper bag! Plus their stylish designs make them WAY more fun to use than a plain ol’ plastic bag. The larger size will fit up to two large cloth diapers. Of course, it works just as well for disposable diapers, wipes, and any other toxic material your baby produces. Each bag has a snap closure and an elastic loop wrist strap that you can use to secure the bag shut or hang off the stroller handle. [...]
It is a very exciting time for children entering preschool or kindergarten. They are learning all about independence, discovering a little more of their own identity every day. Learning how to spell their own name is an important accomplishment for these kids. I See Me Inc. has created two wonderful books that will help your child learn how to spell her name. These personalized books (My Very Own Name and My Very Own Fairy Tale) introduce each letter in your child’s name one by one in an engaging story that is accompanied by beautiful illustrations. Although some of the vocabulary may be above their heads (I had never heard of an ursinia flower before reading this book!) but she will still get loads of enjoyment from the fact the characters are spelling her very own name. [...]
The beginning of a new school year is such an exciting time, but it does come with its challenges. First of all, the kids are back at school during the day giving you time to relax and enjoy some down time, or leaving you a little lonely, or adding another stop on your commute to work. Whichever state you are in, we hope we can help. We have found some products that we think will help make the transition to back to school a little easier and more fun. Also, we want to remind you of a few things in our archives that will benefit you and your family during this crazy busy time! [...]
