When it came to picking out a stroller, I took it very seriously, because I knew it would be one of the most often used pieces of baby gear that we would be purchasing. I don’t drive, so I knew I would be out and about all the time with the baby in the stroller. I actually started out with a hand-me-down stroller, while I saved up and watched for the perfect stroller at the perfect price. The brilliant stroller that I ended up with is the fabulous Zooper Bolero. [...] I love clippy toys, the kind that can be attached to a stroller, car seat, swing, and exersaucer. While I was pregnant I saw Lamaze’s Jacques the Peacock toy and it was love at first sight. It wasn’t until baby’s first Christmas that I finally had the perfect excuse to purchase the toy. For Liam’s first holiday we only made him a small stocking, but wanted to fill it with special, meaningful toys and gifts. [...] My son is a typical boy already, even though he has just turned one; when he hears a siren outside, he crawls his little diaper-butt over to the window in hopes of seeing a fire engine go by (luckily for him, we live pretty close to a local fire station!). I knew from the start he would love some vehicle toys to play with, but at such a young age I didn’t want him playing with metal cars, and I have a general aversion to plastic toys in general. I randomly came across Rubbabu micro vehicles at my local Chapters store, and immediately fell in love! [...] I love art! All my walls have some sort of artwork and photography on them, so when it came time to decorate my son’s nursery, I knew I wanted some colourful, modern, and fun pictures for the wall above his change table. Etsy is my go-to website for a lot of my online purchases these days, especially artwork. There is something really special about getting a piece directly from the artist, and knowing you are supporting a rising star rather than a big box store. [...]
