I first heard of The Vintage Pearl last year about a month before Christmas. Being a fan of handmade products, I decided to take a look at their website and was immediately wowed by the beautiful hand-stamped necklaces, earrings, bracelets and keepsakes that I saw. [...]
One of the nicest gifts we received for our daughter Charlotte when she was born was the organic/cotton Noonoo Design sheep rattle (pictured above). It became a staple in our daughter’s Bugaboo bassinet, and she loves looking at the contrasting black and white shades and giving it a shake now and again. Along with [...]
Crystal Allen, the Canadian creator of Lilikoi Lane, approached us about trying one of her gorgeous handmade shirts. Once I knew that I was selected as the lucky Spilt Milk Mom to try out the shirt, I realized that I had my work cut out for me – Lilkoi Lane has so many unique and adorable applique patterns and so many gorgeous and funky fabrics to chose from. After chatting with Crystal, we opted for me to try out one of her newer designs: Alphabet Shirts! [...]
During our A Few Of Our Favourite Things giveaways this past December, we asked Spilt Milk Moms readers to comment about which product carried by Raspberry Kids we should review. The result was an overwhelming response for us to try out and tell you about Eco-friendly lunchbox Goodbyn, and thanks to Sue from Raspberry Kids (and her distributor), we were given a Goodbyn to review AND one to giveaway (see details below). Thanks Sue! [...]
This is where Bermuda Babies Drool Bandana comes to the rescue for me. While my son lived in a bib as an infant to combat his projectile vomiting problem (so uncool), little miss Charlotte was gifted cutest little Drool Bandana in a pink floral fabric, and it is the most fashionable and functional accessory she currently owns. Not only does it look nice around her neck (she looks like a little bandit when it rides up her face), when Charlotte does upchuck in the car seat and I use the bandana to wipe her face, the pattern hides the mess and I get away without washing it for several days. And in case the mess is really bad, it’s reversible, too. Brilliant and fashionable! [...]
Mally Bibs truly are The Ultimate Baby Bib. They are functional, easy to clean, and adorable! Say bye-bye to sticky, mouldy plastic bibs and the endless laundry piles of cotton bibs. The adjustable magnet clasp makes them easy to put on, because tying a string around the neck of a squirmy toddler with long hair is [...]
I honestly can’t rave enough about the fabulousness of Little Star Greetings. After I wrote my round-up post on birth announcements, both Trea and I chose Little Star Greetings to do our birth announcements and we were both blown away with the level of customer service and the quality of the cards. [...]

Hopefully you have already read me raving about the I See Me personalized books back in September. I love them because they are a fun way for your child to learn their letters and how to spell their name. Full of great illustrations and a story that has your child at the centre of it all, [...]
You know how a lot of kids clothes look like, well… kids clothes. They have happy colours and little kid prints, which are all adorable don’t get me wrong, but my style is much more along the lines of simple, normal looking baby clothes. I think there is nothing more adorable than a little man wearing a collared shirt and sweater vest, or a little girl in a sweater dress and boots. And this is why I love Tea. [...]
Cici Art Factory is the result of a lot of hard work and creativity by mom and artist Liz Clay. Finding inspiration from her children, she is able to offer unique and imaginative paintings for any child’s bedroom or playroom. She has many different styles for you to choose from: wit & whimsy, portraits, lotsa, and [...]
The entire time I was growing up four of the above plates used to watch over us from their position on the stairs. I don’t know how old I was when I first noticed them but eventually I realised that each of the plates recorded the details of my sisters and my births. My father had been in the UK merchant navy when I was born and discovered the plates whilst on a stopover in Holland, my mom loved them and despite emigrating to Canada they sent home and had them made for my sisters. I love the traditional blue & white Delft china and really wanted to carry on the tradition with my own family but wasn’t sure if I would still be able to find them. Ahhh Tinterweb where would I be without you? [...]
It is a very exciting time for children entering preschool or kindergarten. They are learning all about independence, discovering a little more of their own identity every day. Learning how to spell their own name is an important accomplishment for these kids. I See Me Inc. has created two wonderful books that will help your child learn how to spell her name. These personalized books (My Very Own Name and My Very Own Fairy Tale) introduce each letter in your child’s name one by one in an engaging story that is accompanied by beautiful illustrations. Although some of the vocabulary may be above their heads (I had never heard of an ursinia flower before reading this book!) but she will still get loads of enjoyment from the fact the characters are spelling her very own name. [...]
I absolutely love babies. And I absolutely love stationery so it should come as no surprise that baby birth announcements may be one of my favourite things EV.AH!
With our own little bundle of joy arriving in about a month I have been hunting high and low for the perfect birth announcement and thought I would share [...]
Every now and then I stumble across something and love it soooooooooooooooooooooo much that it becomes my “it” present for that year. When I first saw the above Alphabet Prints by Penny People Designs I knew I just had to buy one for our little daughter-to-be and for every single child I knew!
These bright, colourful, designs are iconicly cool with their alphabet lettering but what makes them even more special is that you can personalise them with the child’s name. There are several size prints to choose from – 8 x 10 to 27 x 39 and six different colour choices for the personalisation so they’ll match any bedroom or nursery decor.
