Using a pacifier is something we knew we’d do with our son, but there are so many choices out there that we didn’t know how to begin deciding on which one to choose. I love art! All my walls have some sort of artwork and photography on them, so when it came time to decorate my son’s nursery, I knew I wanted some colourful, modern, and fun pictures for the wall above his change table. Etsy is my go-to website for a lot of my online purchases these days, especially artwork. There is something really special about getting a piece directly from the artist, and knowing you are supporting a rising star rather than a big box store. [...] One of the nicest gifts we received for our daughter Charlotte when she was born was the organic/cotton Noonoo Design sheep rattle (pictured above). It became a staple in our daughter’s Bugaboo bassinet, and she loves looking at the contrasting black and white shades and giving it a shake now and again. Along with [...] We recently put our house on the market which meant, not only was the house spic, span and shiny, we have the photos to prove it! When I looked at the photo of Little Miss’ nursery I was thrilled with how it looks, but I also thought it was a great example of how the Spilt Milk Moms live for the products we bring you. Without time to conduct proper research on this purpose, and running on limited brain power, I grabbed the one I liked best. That’s right, I went purely for aesthetics, and lucky for me, our purchase of our Safety 1st Hi-Def Digital Monitor has been worth every cent and it’s sexy! [...] Cici Art Factory is the result of a lot of hard work and creativity by mom and artist Liz Clay. Finding inspiration from her children, she is able to offer unique and imaginative paintings for any child’s bedroom or playroom. She has many different styles for you to choose from: wit & whimsy, portraits, lotsa, and [...] The entire time I was growing up four of the above plates used to watch over us from their position on the stairs. I don’t know how old I was when I first noticed them but eventually I realised that each of the plates recorded the details of my sisters and my births. My father had been in the UK merchant navy when I was born and discovered the plates whilst on a stopover in Holland, my mom loved them and despite emigrating to Canada they sent home and had them made for my sisters. I love the traditional blue & white Delft china and really wanted to carry on the tradition with my own family but wasn’t sure if I would still be able to find them. Ahhh Tinterweb where would I be without you? [...] When we were designing our future daughter’s nursery we wanted to create something fun and stylish but also didn’t want to spend a fortune or end up with a bunch of plastic and polyester crap. One thing we really struggled over was (weirdly) a laundry basket. We wanted something that was going to last a while and look stylish (as it would always be seen in her room) but the flimsy plastic ones seemed to start at $25 while the wicker ones (which from past experience never last as long as I think they should) were $40+. Then we stumbled across the organic storage bins from 3 Sprouts. [...] One of the most exciting moments of my first pregnancy was the 19-week ultrasound. It was amazing to see S’s little heart beating away and watch her float around , suck her thumb, and kick her itty bitty feet! Of course I cherished the picture we were given as a little momento of the occasion. It lived on our fridge for months and months, but after we had the real thing in our hands and there were pictures being taken of her every 5 mintues I felt like the ultrasound picture needed a more special place to live. So it ended up in a frame that we had been given as a gift. Nothing special, but at least it was up there. What we really needed (but I didn’t know existed yet) was the Pearhead Sonogram Frame. [...] Every now and then I stumble across something and love it soooooooooooooooooooooo much that it becomes my “it” present for that year. When I first saw the above Alphabet Prints by Penny People Designs I knew I just had to buy one for our little daughter-to-be and for every single child I knew!
