Everyone is talking about money these days, so why not start that conversation with your kids? Or, better yet, start teaching them about money and how to manage their “income”. The Moonjar Moneybox is a fantastic tool that allows your children to put into practice the money management skills you are trying to teach them. (And let’s face it, some of us could us a little refresher course on this stuff ourselves!) [...]

The beginning of a new school year is such an exciting time, but it does come with its challenges. First of all, the kids are back at school during the day giving you time to relax and enjoy some down time, or leaving you a little lonely, or adding another stop on your commute to work. Also, we want to remind you of a few things in our archives that will benefit you and your family during this crazy busy time! [...]
One of my favourite cleaning tools is 3M Scotch-Brite’s Soap Dispensing Dish Wand. Why do I love thee, Sctoch-Brite Dish Wand? Let me count the ways … [...]
IKEA’s Trofast line is just so smart. Not only can you pick the size of the frame, you can also pick the size and the color of the plastic bin inserts to match your living space. So you can still go cutesy and colourful if it’s going in your tot’s room, or you can go neutral if it’s going in your living room (the white bins shown above were our personal choice). And since the bins are so affordable, you can buy new ones and swap them out if you feel like a change! The Trofast line also comes with additional pieces so that it can adapt depending on your needs – you can create change tables, drawers, and shelves, or you can just use it as a simple storage unit. One of my favourite features is its mobility – you can just pull out a bin full of toys, move it to a different room, and plunk it on the floor for your kids to play with. And as your kids start to outgrow piles of toys, it can easily be used to store crafting and colouring supplies, school supplies, and books or CD’s. You can easily move it from your living room and put it in their bedroom to make a bookshelf or dresser. It’s just so smart and adaptable! [...]

Okay, okay, I admit it. I have a box for my label maker labeled … “Label Maker”. Now, even though I own my own label making machine to support my organizational habit, I recently found, and love, Canadian company Mabel’s Labels. [...]
